Hot Shops

The Winners of the Iowa Western Art Show had the opportunity to explore the many Studios in Hot Shops. We were all very impressed with the variety of art included in this one building. We saw various works of art ranging from 9.5 foot dragons to 3 inch glass bottles. I plan on attending their open house in May. Check out the web site for more information.
The Art Center includes three stories of: forty-four art studios, three art galleries, exhibition spaces, and a small cafe’/coffee shop.
The Hot Shops Art Center opens its doors twice every year on the first Saturdays of May and December.
The biggest event of the year--the open house--features informative art, demonstrations, and live music.
Numerous artists will have their studio doors
open to the public.
The next open house will be Saturday, May 6th, 2006.
