(Farragut) -- Students in Farragut got a chance to bring to reality something some have only dreamt of doing. High school seniors brainstormed for a fundraising idea to aid the Sainsbury family who lost everything in a recent Riverton house fire. Lee Wertz, an FHS senior, tells KMA News students decided to take K-through-12 Principal Sandy Hilding to a wall. Kindergarten students were concerned if Hilding could breathe, and though Hilding braved the spectacle for at least 30 minutes, 5 and 6-year- olds weren't so sure how long she'd be in the predicament.(Estimates ranged from 1 year to 'forever'.) As a supplement to the duct tape monies, students could pay $1 to wear a hat for the day or rent one for $2. $350 was raised in the day's events. Albeit a different sort, Riverton City Clerk Carol Jennings tells KMA News more fundraising is on its way. A spaghetti supper takes place March 1st from 5-to-8 p.m.at the Admiral Inn in Farragut. A bake sale is slated for Easter weekend at Great Western Bank. Jennings says the couple found a rental house in Riverton and are grateful for the support from the community, as well as the American Red Cross and Salvation Army.
