The gym floor has served Farragut Schools well for over forty years. There were lots of success stories that played out on the court in sports and fine arts. Thousands of students in physical education played everything from badminton to dodge-ball. All those pounding feet took their toll on the floor including multiple floods. The Farragut Board of Education approved a bid for a new gym floor and Franks Contracting Inc. won the contract.
Many people have asked what happened to the old court. In April the PTO will open bidding on the former center court. They will also have a sale on the school website for smaller
portions of the floor with an official "plaque." The money will then be donated to the Farragut CSD Heating and Air Conditioning project. More information will sent out by the end of the month.
Below are slideshows of the work in progress. Students and community members continually peek in to look at the progress. Let's keep the Farragut pride alive!
