Chemistry Field Day

Congratulations!  

Chemistry Field Day was held on March 29th at Creighton University in Omaha. Forty-three teams participated with the Farragut-Sidney team being the smallest by far. the Farragut-Sidney team won the "Serial Dilution to a Better Solution" lab event. Their score was the highest out of 43 teams and a record for the event. The teams had to find a method to dilute a 1000 part/million (high concentration) solution to a lesser (.9 ppm) solution using limited glassware and measuring equipment. The participants were Jason Goltz, a Farragut senior; Kim Plemel, Farragut senior; Katie Johnson, a junior from Sidney and tamara Smith, a senior at Farragut.
