If you feel you have missed the opportunity for free money for college, it is not so! Many scholarships have deadlines dates in June, July and August. You may go to FastWeb.com
| Ward Scott Family Scholarship |
The Ward Scott Family Scholarship of $500.00 is awarded each year to a graduating senior who will be attending Iowa State University. This year, the recipient of the Ward Scott Family Scholarship was Chealsee Lynn, daughter of Bob and Robin Lynn of Farragut. |

Applicant must include a self-statement concerning his/her interest in golf, other activities and awards, his/her educational and vocational plans and financial needs. Applications available, along with other requirements in Mrs. Slavik’s office. |

| George Jay Memorial Trust | Students may apply for a maximum of $1400 per school year and $400 for summer year. Interest rate is 3 %. and repayment shall begin 12 months after leaving school. Applications are available in Mrs. Slavik's office. | |
| Iowa Federation of Republican Women | Several scholarships are available sponsored by the Iowa Federation of Republican Women. Go to their web site for criteria and amounts. http://www.nfrw.org/programs/index.html#Scholarships | 2/20/08 and 6/1/08 |
| Burger King | $1,000 scholarship - GPA of 2.5 or higher, work 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, community service, financial need. May apply online at www.bk.com/scholars beginning October 15. |
