PTO Needs You!

September 01, 2011

PTO wants to extend a warm welcome to Jennifer Varellas and Kathleen Lorimor the new co-chairs. When you see these ladies ask what you can do to be part of PTO!

Parents: PTO needs you!!! The Farragut PTO's biggest fundraiser is the summer concession stand for the softball and baseball games. The concession stand is a huge undertaking, but necessary to fund these valuable programs. . .

· Educational scholarships for two graduating seniors
· Snacks for students while taking Iowa Test of Basic Skills
· Junior High party recognizing outstanding grades for the semester
· Homecoming balloons for high school students
· Annual Teacher Appreciation Week salad luncheon for faculty and staff
· National Education Week luncheon for faculty and staff
· Spelling Bee medals
· Fifth grade trip to the Orpheum to hear the symphony
· Provide cookies, punch, and paper products for the National Honor Society Induction
· Assistance to the elementary for trips and special events
· Provides programs and assemblies for K-2 students
· Softball/baseball concession stand

As a parent of a Farragut Community School student you are a member of the Farragut PTO. We are asking each of you to give a little of your time to work a shift at the concession stand this summer. Together we can make a difference in the lives of our children. Please contact Wendy Gardner at school (385-8131) or at home (385-8241) to sign up for a time that is convenient. We sincerely appreciate your help.
