New Shared Sports Name and Mascot!

Blue Devils
Students in Farragut and Hamburg have chosen the team name Nishnabotna and the mascot of Blue Devils! Now each board will vote on accepting the new name and mascot for shared sports. The term Blue Devils is the mascot of Duke University. It was chosen in honor of soldiers who fought in WWI. The mascot for sports honored the Chasseurs Alpins, "les Diables Bleus," a well known French soldier unit. After the United States entered WWI, Blue Devil soldiers toured America to raise money for the war efforts and the imagination of a nation.
